Land Art / Placings

The placing of work in the landscape that provided the materials and the inspiration for its creation began with explorations of Land Art in the 1990s. 

More recently, a series of photographs uses work made in the studio from locally sourced materials. The objects are returned to the local Sussex landscape in the form of placings. The resulting images have still aspects in common with Land Art, they are a record of brief creative human interactions with the land and its materials.
